The vital role of the Data Centre (27/01/2015)
The fundamental platform for the current rapid transformation to digitalisation and convergence is the Data Centre. The Data Centre therefore has an increasingly important role to play in today’s engineering and construction industries, particularly with regard to Information and Communication Technology (ICT) solutions.
This is according to Jaco Cronje of EES Africa (Pty) Ltd, who discusses the latest trends which make the construction of a Data Centre so crucial, and examines the key issues to be considered.
A comprehensive mobility strategy is imperative (26/11/2014)
Today, no matter where one is located, it is essential to have access to the internet, cloud and company data, and be able to communicate with co-workers, associates and clients. Fundamental to this is having in place a leading edge mobility strategy.
“A mobility strategy optimises efficiency and ensures that should a device be lost, stolen or damaged, communication continues. It ensures maximum performance of a company and its people at all times,” explains Kim Greyling, Business Analyst for EES Africa (Pty) Ltd.
Lending a helping hand (15/10/2014)
Clean C, an NPO which organises a number of community upliftment projects for underprivileged people, recently challenged EES Africa (Pty) Ltd to a beach clean-up. EES, management, engineering and auditing services company, took up this challenge, and last week, under the guidance of Clean C, descended upon the Kalk Bay beach situated next to the harbour. After some very productive and worthwhile time spent there cleaning up litter, the beach looked shiny, fresh and clean! EES challenges other companies to do the same at beaches not far from where they are located in order to achieve sustainability which is part of the EES business approach.
