Data Centre

The vital role of the Data Centre (27/01/2015)

The fundamental platform for the current rapid transformation to digitalisation and convergence is the Data Centre. The Data Centre therefore has an increasingly important role to play in today’s engineering and construction industries, particularly with regard to Information and Communication Technology (ICT) solutions.

This is according to Jaco Cronje of EES Africa (Pty) Ltd, who discusses the latest trends which make the construction of a Data Centre so crucial, and examines the key issues to be considered.

New projects, possibilities and progress

Only a month into the New Year and, together with our clients and associates, we are already facing exciting challenges and implementing new ideas. To date, 2015 has been characterised by new projects, possibilities and progress, and the year promises to be an inspiring journey.

Last month we moved our Stellenbosch office to the centre of the town. The reason for this is to be situated right in the hub of business activities and be closer to public transport facilities. EES Africa’s new Stellenbosch address is 3B & 3C Drostdy Street. The telephone number remains the same.

Numerous organisations are today focusing on the integration of ICT infrastructure and transformation and development of data centres. A key area of EES Africa’s expertise is the integration of multiple system infrastructure, which includes Data Centres. ‘The vital role of the Data Centre‘ provides a general overview of this topic. An in-depth analysis can be found in the white paper, ’The case for the construction of a Data Centre‘, written by Jaco Cronje. The paper outlines in detail the way in which businesses that implement digitalisation will achieve operational, cost and organisational benefits. It explains that the platform for creating this transformation is the Data Centre. Please feel free contact us if you would like to discuss this topic further.

We are delighted that our Proteas squad to Australia and New Zealand has been labeled a favourite ahead of the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup, which commences on 14 February. We wish the team the very best of luck and will be supporting you keenly and following you closely..
